Description:

At 1,8 nautical miles from Port d'Alcúdia is this small pebble beach with crystal clear waters; quiet and picturesque. It has an area of about 200 meters long and 20 meters wide. A small pine forest offers shade, aroma and elegance to this wonderful place. In front of its coast you can see the Island of Alcanada with the lighthouse; you can reach it on foot or swimming, because the depth is just 1,5 metres.

Anchoring: This anchorage is very stable except with winds from the SE to NW. Approach from the South to anchor at 1.5 meters depth. You can not navigate between the land and the island of Alcanada, because the sea bottom is only 0.5 meters deep. The area of Alcanada, open to the winds blowing from southeast, south and southwest has some excellent conditions for anchoring boats. The navigator will find a fine-grained sandy ground, but he has to be careful because on the east side of Platja de l'Alcanada there are some sandbanks, so that he is recommended to anchor in the centre of this coastal stretch. It is important to report that there is a rock of 1.4 meters per 300 meters southeast of the island Alcanada.

Once anchored, snorkeling is required by the charm of submerged rocks.
