Description:
Cala Domingos is situated at 3,2 nautical miles from Port de Portocolom, also known as Cala es Domingos Grans i Cala es Domingos Petits o Cala Tropicana.
This beach is long and large, 150 metres both, and it finishes with a fork, Cala es Domingos Petits or Cala Tropicana and Cala es Domingos Grans, which have the same wide entrance and they are divided by a steep rocky headland, which can be passed on foot or on the seaway, and this is where the biggest part of residences and hotels are.
Anchoring: Cala es Domingos Petits is a narrow sandy area, fine-grained and white, good for anchoring boats because the depth on a sandy ground ranges from six metres at two hectometres from the coast to two metres at half a hectometre. The big sister, Cala es Domingos Grans, has similar land and sea characteristics as the cove nearby, but it is bigger and the depth at a 100 metres from the coast is 3,5 metres.
If it is too crowded, you have the possibility to anchor in the nearby and more quiet coves of Cala Murada or Cala sa Romeguera. This whole area is a good place to practice snorkeling.
