Description:
Platja de Palmanova is situated at 1,3 nautical miles from Port Portals, between Punta Negra and Punta de sa Porrasa. This sandy area belongs to the three beaches of the village of Palmanova: this one, Son Maties and es Carregador.
The touristic buildings, the night clubs and other facilities for the mass tourism characterize this urban setting of the sandy area, and it is one of the most important touristic villages of Calvià.
This beach has been artificially regenerated to have the current aspect, fine-grained white sand, huge extensions which may be modified by the sea currents depending on the season. It is 1000 Meters long and 60 meters wide.
Anchoring: The best place to anchor boats is in front of the sandy area, nearby Punta de sa Porrasa. Here you are protected against the winds from the south. Anchor where there is a sandy ground and the depth ranges from three to five metres.
In summer it is not very quiet because of the ski boats and jet skis.
